Oxford Clarion is an independent progressive news source for Oxfordshire, established in 2022.

We publish a weekly email newsletter, plus regular news updates and occasional live-posting on Bluesky as oxfordclarion. We share our newsletters and long reads on our Facebook page.

Occasionally we are asked “Who is behind the Oxford Clarion?” At our core is a small writing team who work for free – we have no funding from anyone. Among them are people with backgrounds in journalism, communications, and community media. Our volunteers contribute time and effort sourcing stories, writing up
